High-ranking visitor in the Inner City: On January 23rd, we were pleased to welcome the district head of the 1st district of Vienna, Mag. Markus Figl , to our premises.

During a personal company visit, District Mayor Figl had an intensive exchange with our CEO Ernst Grissemann about the visionary approaches of the BPG Group in the field of sustainable mining.

We were delighted to welcome a special guest to our premises on February 25th : The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic, IE Nurzhan Shaildabekova , visited the BPG Group for an official working meeting.

The focus of the discussion with our CEO, Ernst Grissemann, was strategic cooperation on forward-looking projects in Kyrgyzstan. As an expert with many years of experience in law, international relations, and public administration, Ambassador Shaildabekova brings impressive expertise that is invaluable for the successful implementation of our shared goals.

The discussion delved deeper into plans for various projects in Kyrgyzstan, where the BPG Group will contribute its expertise in resource extraction and ecological remediation. Kyrgyzstan possesses enormous potential in mineral resources – our goal is to sustainably unlock this potential according to the latest ESG standards and using modular technologies.

On January 23, 2026, we had the honor of welcoming IE María Aurora Mejía Errasquín, Spain’s Ambassador to Austria, to the BPG Group office.

During her visit, we presented our ongoing and upcoming activities in Huelva, Spain, and highlighted our approach to responsible resource use, ESG-oriented transformation, and long-term value creation through sustainable mineral resources.

We greatly appreciate the open and constructive exchange and look forward to continuing the dialogue between Spain and Austria on projects that combine innovation, sustainability and economic responsibility.

Ernst Grissemann, Chairman and CEO of BPG Group, leads the company as it prepares for its upcoming listing on the Vienna MTF of the Vienna Stock Exchange. A native of Seefeld and former competitive ski jumper and Taekwondo athlete, Grissemann brings decades of international experience, including leadership roles connected to Vamed, the German-listed Bauer Group, and large-scale projects in the Middle East.
Recently, BPG Group celebrated its official launch in Austria at Palais Ferstel, attended by more than 150 guests from politics, business, diplomacy, and the media. Federal Minister Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer and State Secretary Alexander Pröll delivered greetings, with the event hosted by Ina Sabitzer and blessed by Cathedral Pastor Toni Faber.

Over 140 distinguished guests from politics, business, and academia attended the event. The company presented its innovative technology for recovering valuable raw materials such as copper, gold, and silver from historic mining waste, supporting Europe’s transition toward sustainable and independent resource supply.

The official inauguration of the Arjaa Facility was widely covered in the media. In addition to a detailed article, there is a video with impressions from the event and an interview with Ernst Grissemann, in which he discusses the goals and potential of the facility.

BPG Group has inaugurated the first copper recycling plant in Suhar, Oman – a €93 million milestone project developed with its subsidiary Green Tech Mining & Services, the Oman Mining Company, and the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion.

The facility transforms historic copper tailings into high-purity, sustainably recycled copper using advanced environmental technology and renewable energy. Production begins in June 2025, with capacity expanding to 12,000–17,000 tonnes annually by 2026, supplying global green industry supply chains.

This achievement underscores Austrian innovation, international cooperation, and BPG’s commitment to sustainable industrial growth in line with Oman Vision 2040.

As part of its social engagement, Green Tech Mining & Services initiated the construction of a football field in Wilayat Yanqul. The project was featured in various media outlets and demonstrates how GTMS contributes to the local community beyond its economic activities.

In January 2025, Green Tech Mining & Services officially commissioned the Arjaa Tailing Processing Calibration Plant. Media reports highlighted the technological relevance of the project. Various features document the planning, implementation, and early assessments of its benefits for the location.

Green Tech Mining & Services has been recognized with the Austrian Eco-Label for its sustainable corporate management. The award underscores the company’s commitment to ecological standards and was covered both in the media and through an official certificate.
